Siempre se dice que la publicidad en las cadenas importantes es muy cara. Cuando alguna serie con grandes audiencias se encuentra en emisión el costo de la publicidad se eleva, cuantas más personas vean la serie más personas mirarán la publicidad.
Los comerciales se miden y venden por segundo al aire, no hay un precio fijo sino que llegando al final o si es una emisión especial los precios suben. Por ejemplo en la temporada 07/08 Grey´s Anatomy llegó a costar $465.000 los 30 segundos. Miren cuanto les saldría publicitar en sus series favoritas.
